Trengo alternatives
What are the best alternatives to Trengo?
The alternatives to Trengo come down to three questions: which currency you are billed in, what counts as a conversation, and whether the AI agent is inside the price or charged on top. Trengo publishes its rate card in euros, bills by seven-day conversations, and charges AI separately, per conversation.
Trengo is a European team inbox and a well-built one: it brings WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, email, website chat and SMS into one place, lets several WhatsApp numbers land in the same inbox, documents how to keep using the WhatsApp Business app on the same number, and adds an agent called HelpMate that works from the knowledge you load and can query connected systems.

The entry price and the currency. Boost is 349 EUR per month billed monthly, with 10 users and 500 conversations per month, dropping to 299 EUR per month billed yearly with 6,000 conversations per year; Pro is 599 EUR per month, or 499 EUR per month billed yearly, with 20 users and 1,500 monthly conversations. All verified on 16 September 2026. The dollar and pound selectors on its pricing page convert those euros with a live exchange-rate API in the page code, so there is no fixed rate card in your currency, no peso price and no verified Mexican invoicing commitment.
What counts as a conversation. A Trengo conversation opens a seven-day window, and activity after it starts another billable conversation. An extra block of 100 conversations costs 18 EUR per month, or 15 EUR billed yearly, and AI is charged on top: 0.30 EUR per conversation, or 0.25 EUR billed yearly. Two meters, and the second one rises exactly when the agent is doing the most work.
Seats are billed separately. Boost includes 10 users and Pro includes 20; an additional user costs 30 EUR per month on Boost, or 25 EUR billed yearly, and 50 EUR on Pro, or 40 EUR billed yearly. If your operation grows by people rather than only by conversations, that line grows with you.
What was not established. Trengo lists contact profiles, custom fields, tags and conversation assignment, but in the material reviewed on 16 September 2026 we could not establish a native sales pipeline, a catalog that quotes, appointment booking against a calendar, or payment collection inside the conversation. Its Enterprise plan publishes no price either. It is an inbox with an agent, and that is a different purchase from an agent that closes the sale.
Criteria
- It publishes price, billing unit and overage. The monthly figure alone is not enough: what gets counted and what exceeding it costs both matter.
- It states the currency it invoices in, and this page flags who publishes peso pricing and Mexican CFDI invoices and who does not.
- It does the same job: selling and answering over messaging with an AI agent that executes, not only drafts.
- It holds up as a team inbox with several numbers and handoff with full history, which is what Trengo does well and what you cannot afford to lose in a switch.
- Every claim links to the vendor's public page and carries its verification date. Criteria set on 16 September 2026.
Eva is our product and appears on this list, so the list is not neutral by nature; that is why every row links the public page it came from. The Trengo and LiveConnect figures were verified on 16 September 2026; the respond.io, Aurora Inbox and Kommo figures on 28 July 2026. Every figure is printed in the currency its vendor publishes, without conversion: Trengo publishes in euros and that is how it appears here, taken from trengo.com/prices. Whatever we could not find published is stated as an absence of public information, not as a product defect.
Five real alternatives
1. Eva
Best for: Anyone who needs Eva's five foundations: Eva does the work, not just the talking: She quotes from your real catalog, books, takes payment, invoices and follows up for months — inside the same conversation. A built-in CRM where everything organizes itself: Every prospect is captured, classified and managed automatically, and Eva works with your team: handoff to a person with the full history. Every channel included: WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, calls, email and your website — including Instagram comments and TikTok ad comments. AI is already in the price: No separate accounts and no extra AI charges: each agent reply uses one plan credit, and that is it. Public pricing: Plans, add-ons and setup published, with a verification date on every figure on this page. From $191 USD per month on an annual plan ($229 USD month to month).
Tradeoff: From $191 USD per month on an annual plan ($229 USD month to month) on Essential, with 5,000 credits and 5 users included; a 1,000-credit top-up costs $49 USD and each extra user is $17 USD per month. Setup is purchased separately from $579 USD (half price with an annual plan) and payment inside the conversation runs on SPEI. There is no public self-serve signup and no free trial today. And if you need SMS in the same inbox, Trengo publishes that channel and we do not.
Source2. respond.io
Best for: A mid-size or large team that wants the reference multi-agent inbox with everything published: prices, included users, workflows, reporting, API and voice calls inside the same workspace. It is the closest thing here to Trengo's multichannel ambition, and you can read its rate card before talking to a salesperson.
Tradeoff: From $79 USD per month billed yearly on Starter, with five users, but the autonomous agent does not live there: AI Agents start on Growth at $159 USD per month, and Advanced costs $279 USD per month. Growth and Advanced start with 1,000 monthly active contacts, and an extra block of 100 contacts costs $12 USD on Growth and $15 USD on Advanced. AI credits sit under a fair-use limit and, once exhausted, AI features pause until the next month, with no published overage price. Meta's WhatsApp fees sit outside. It bills in dollars and publishes no Mexican entity or local invoicing.
Source3. Aurora Inbox
Best for: Anyone leaving Trengo because they need a Mexican invoice and a number their accountant can budget. Aurora publishes a monthly peso price with three users included, an AI agent with 800 monthly responses from the entry plan, the three Meta channels, and documented Mexican tax identifiers with downloadable CFDI files.
Tradeoff: $1,800 MXN per month plus VAT for Aurora CRM, or $99 USD if you prefer dollars, and $240 MXN per month plus VAT for each additional user or channel. It publishes no AI-response overage price, so that line has to be asked about in writing. And it covers WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger: we found no SMS and no website chat, both of which Trengo publishes.
Source4. LiveConnect
Best for: A small Latin American team that wants a multi-agent inbox with a CRM inside for a fraction of the European ticket: Mini costs $45 USD per month, or $36 USD per month billed yearly, with three users, 300 conversations and 50 AI conversations, and it adds Telegram, website chat and email to the Meta channels.
Tradeoff: AI conversations are capped per plan, from 50 on Mini to 1,500 on Enterprise, and its table publishes neither the price of an extra AI conversation nor when the meter resets. The public plans include a single WhatsApp number, except Enterprise at $599 USD per month, which includes six. The catalog stops at 10 items outside Enterprise. Its homepage offers unlimited automations while the pricing table lists per-plan quantities: that gap is worth resolving in writing. It bills in dollars, and we could not verify peso pricing or Mexican CFDI invoices.
Source5. Kommo
Best for: Anyone who discovers, while comparing inboxes, that what they actually lack is a sales CRM: visual pipeline, tasks, contact records and campaign analytics, with messaging inside and several WhatsApp numbers.
Tradeoff: $15 USD per paid user per month on Básico, with no monthly option: the published minimum is six months prepaid. The autonomous agent is not available to new Básico customers; it starts on Avanzado at $25 USD per paid user per month, which includes three WhatsApp numbers, and Pro costs $45 USD per user per month with unlimited numbers. AI credits are bought in separate packages from $29 USD per month. It bills in dollars and the price multiplies by every person who needs access.
Source
Eva is our product and comes first, so here are the criteria: published price, billing unit and overage; declared currency and invoicing; the same commercial job over messaging; a team inbox with handoff and history; and every figure with a source and a date. Eva comes first because it combines an agent that executes, an included CRM, every channel, AI inside the price and a public rate card. respond.io follows for large teams that want the mature inbox and accept several meters; Aurora Inbox for buyers who need pesos and Mexican invoicing; LiveConnect for a small team that wants a cheap dollar-priced inbox with a CRM; and Kommo for anyone who actually wants a per-seat sales CRM. Trengo keeps real advantages: SMS in the same inbox and telephone calling as an add-on on Boost and Pro, documented coexistence with the WhatsApp Business app on the same number, several numbers in one inbox, and euro invoicing. If you operate from Europe, or those three lines are your requirement, stay where you are.
What switching actually involves
The first step is the WhatsApp number. Trengo runs on the official API, so your number already lives inside Meta: changing vendors means migrating the WhatsApp Business account between platforms, with verification in the middle. Plan for days rather than minutes, and ask for the release procedure in writing before you sign with the next vendor.
The second is the contract and the currency. Before renewing, ask for four things in an email: price and billing currency, what counts as a conversation and what an extra block costs, the per-conversation AI charge, and the cancellation notice. With a euro rate card your browser sees converted live, only what lands on the invoice counts.
The third is your data. Ask for an export of conversations and contacts before cancelling anything, and check it in full: an already-cancelled account is the worst possible moment to discover a missing field.
The fourth is the configuration. HelpMate's tone, language and escalation rules and the knowledge you loaded do not copy across to the next vendor: they get rebuilt. With Eva, guided setup is prepared from your website and catalog and you approve it at no cost, while assisted setup costs $579 USD once, delivered within five business days of receiving complete inputs.
The fifth is the overlap. Budget one month paying both vendors: nobody switches off a sales channel to test another one. Run the replacement on a secondary channel or a bounded time window, compare real resolved conversations, and move when the number convinces you.
And on our side, so you know what is left for you: we handle the number's migration inside Meta ourselves, the same way we handle your company's verification. Your contacts come into Eva by CSV or Excel file, with deduplication on import; your catalog comes in by file or by API; and on top of that a contact is created and updated on its own the moment the person writes. Ask your current vendor for the export and we go through it with you during setup, before you cancel anything.
FAQ
What does Trengo cost?
Boost costs 349 EUR per month billed monthly, with 10 users and 500 conversations per month, and 299 EUR per month billed yearly with 6,000 conversations per year. Pro costs 599 EUR per month, or 499 EUR per month billed yearly, with 20 users and 1,500 monthly conversations. Enterprise is quote-only. Verified on trengo.com/prices on 16 September 2026.
What counts as a conversation in Trengo?
Trengo defines a conversation as a seven-day window: activity after that window starts another billable conversation. An extra block of 100 conversations costs 18 EUR per month, or 15 EUR billed yearly, and each conversation handled with AI adds 0.30 EUR, or 0.25 EUR billed yearly. Meta's WhatsApp template charges are billed separately from those allowances.
Which of these alternatives bills in Mexican pesos and issues CFDI invoices?
Aurora Inbox publishes its price in pesos plus VAT and documents Mexican tax identifiers and CFDI downloads. Eva publishes pesos plus VAT inside Mexico and also issues CFDI invoices on your customers' behalf through Facturapi when the tax profile is complete. respond.io, LiveConnect and Kommo bill in dollars and publish no Mexican entity. Trengo publishes in euros, and its other-currency selectors are a live conversion rather than a local rate card.
Which ones include an AI agent on the entry plan?
Eva includes it from Essential, with the plan's credits and no separate AI account. Aurora Inbox includes it on its entry plan with 800 monthly responses. LiveConnect includes 50 AI conversations on Mini. On respond.io, AI Agents start on Growth at $159 USD per month. On Kommo the autonomous agent starts on Avanzado at $25 USD per paid user per month. Trengo includes HelpMate in the platform but charges 0.30 EUR per AI-handled conversation, or 0.25 EUR billed yearly.
Can I keep my number and go on using the WhatsApp Business app?
Trengo documents that coexistence: the app and the official API share the same number and app messages can be echoed into Trengo, though its own documentation warns that some message types and the group and broadcast features do not appear in the API inbox. That is a genuine point in its favor, and it is worth asking any vendor on this list, ours included, to put the same answer in writing before you sign.
Does EvaAI only sell in Mexico?
No. EvaAI works with businesses in any country and Eva is configured and answers in Spanish or English. Peso pricing and CFDI invoicing are the Mexican part of the offer; outside Mexico the contract is in dollars, and this site exists in both languages.
