Dapta alternatives

What are the best Dapta alternatives?

The best Dapta alternative depends on the job you are moving: Eva when the agent has to quote, book, take payment and follow up with a built-in CRM; Darwin AI when you want prebuilt roles with phone calls; respond.io for the mature multi-agent inbox; Chatbase when you are building agents on your own content; Aurora Inbox when you need pesos and Mexican invoices.

If you are weighing Dapta alternatives, start with the meter, because almost everything else follows from it. Dapta sells text and voice AI agents with a no-code flow builder, and it publishes its rate card in dollars with a monthly credit allowance: Pro at $99 USD per month with 100,000 credits, Scale-Up at $499 USD with 500,000, Prime at USD 1,499 with 1,500,000, and an Enterprise tier that is quoted only, verified in its documentation on 16 September 2026.

EvaAI publishes this page and sells Eva, so the order is not neutral by nature. That is why the dated criteria are below, why every third-party figure carries its public source and verification date, and why the places Dapta genuinely wins are spelled out. The other four options are here because they are the ones a Dapta buyer in Mexico and Latin America actually considers.

Why people look for an alternative to Dapta

The first reason is that everything runs through one meter. A thousand credits equal $1 USD, and that same balance pays for very different things: a started minute of an answered call costs 333 credits, a voicemail 75, an unanswered call 45, a message a human sends from the Inbox 10, and an agent reply between 12 and 40 depending on the model. Activating a WhatsApp line with Dapta as the provider costs 75,000 credits once. At zero the service stops, with no automatic overage charge, and extra credits cost $1 USD per 1,000.

The second is the jump between plans. Pro includes five users and five workspaces; unlimited users are not an add-on to it, they start on Scale-Up. So when your team passes five people, the decision is not buying one more seat, it is jumping from the $99 USD plan to the $499 USD one.

The third is the term, which today has two published answers and no reconciliation between them. The cancellation documentation describes a subscription that stops at the end of the paid period with no refund for it. The October 2025 terms document publishes a twelve-month initial term with annual renewal and thirty days of non-renewal notice. The Pro trial runs seven days, requires a card, carries 100,000 credits and converts to the paid plan on its own unless you cancel. Get it in writing before you sign.

The fourth is channels. What is documented as a customer channel is WhatsApp and Dapta's own web widget. We found nothing establishing Instagram, Messenger, TikTok, a customer email inbox, or how many WhatsApp numbers fit on one agent or one plan. That is an absence of published information rather than proof of absence, which makes it exactly the thing to ask about with concrete numbers in the demo.

The fifth is your WhatsApp number. The documented route asks for an unregistered number and tells you to deregister existing WhatsApp accounts first; we verified no coexistence route that lets you keep answering from the phone app. Inside the platform, more than 24 hours after the customer's last message the Inbox disables free-form sending and requires an approved template, which is Meta's rule rather than Dapta's invention.

The sixth is the Mexican invoice. Paid rates are in dollars, and we found no peso tariff, VAT treatment or CFDI commitment. Dapta's own credits document notes an indicative $13 USD monthly cost for a Mexican phone number arranged by Support, with the real setup quoted case by case. Being able to download an invoice and type a tax ID into a field is not the same as receiving a stamped Mexican CFDI.

Criteria

  • Criteria applied on 16 September 2026. First: it publishes its price, its billing unit and exactly what happens when the included allowance runs out.
  • It does the same commercial job: selling and answering over messaging with an AI agent that executes rather than only drafts.
  • It says plainly what happens to your WhatsApp number when you connect it, and which channels it actually serves rather than the ones its homepage mentions.
  • It can be bought from Mexico today even when it bills in dollars; where no peso price, VAT treatment or CFDI is published, this page says so instead of filling it in.
  • Every third-party figure links to the vendor's public page and carries its verification date; Eva's figures come from its pricing catalog.

Eva is our product and appears on this list, so the list is not neutral by nature; that is why every row links the public page it came from. Dapta's prices, credits and rules were verified on 16 September 2026 on dapta.ai and in its documentation; respond.io, Chatbase and Aurora Inbox on 28 July 2026. Darwin AI publishes no current rate card, so this page prints no Darwin figure. The public archive capture of Dapta's pricing page failed that day because the archiving service returned an error, so its verification rests on the dated direct reading. Every figure is printed in the currency its vendor publishes, without conversion.

Five real alternatives

  1. 1. Eva

Best for: Anyone who needs Eva's five foundations: Eva does the work, not just the talking: She quotes from your real catalog, books, takes payment, invoices and follows up for months — inside the same conversation. A built-in CRM where everything organizes itself: Every prospect is captured, classified and managed automatically, and Eva works with your team: handoff to a person with the full history. Every channel included: WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, calls, email and your website — including Instagram comments and TikTok ad comments. AI is already in the price: No separate accounts and no extra AI charges: each agent reply uses one plan credit, and that is it. Public pricing: Plans, add-ons and setup published, with a verification date on every figure on this page. From $191 USD per month on an annual plan ($229 USD month to month).

Tradeoff: From $191 USD per month on an annual plan ($229 USD month to month) on Essential, with 5,000 credits and 5 users included; a 1,000-credit top-up costs $49 USD and each extra user is $17 USD per month. Setup is bought separately from $579 USD, half price with an annual plan. Eva is one agent configured for your business, not a canvas where you assemble the automation yourself: if what you want to buy is a no-code builder for designing internal processes piece by piece, that row belongs to Dapta. There is also no public self-serve signup and no free trial today.

  2. 2. Darwin AI

Best for: Anyone leaving Dapta because they would rather buy the work prepackaged by job than build it. Darwin publishes five named roles that qualify prospects, re-engage dormant customers, handle support, collect payments and run after-sales, over WhatsApp, Instagram and phone calls, with Spanish-speaking guidance for Latin American verticals.

Tradeoff: It publishes no current rate card. Its terms ask for a commercial proposal, and the model they do describe combines a quoted implementation cost, a prepaid monthly software license and a variable charge per conversation or per message. The two plan figures still visible on its site came from an expired November 2025 promotion, so this page prints none of them. It publishes no peso price, Mexican tax treatment or CFDI either, and we found no documented voice agent equivalent to Dapta's for outbound calls.

  3. 3. respond.io

Best for: A mid-size or large team that wants the reference multi-agent inbox with everything published: plans, included users, active contacts, workflows, reporting, API and AI agents that assign conversations, update fields and trigger workflows. It also handles inbound calls inside the same inbox.

Tradeoff: From $79 USD per month on Starter billed yearly; AI agents start on Growth at $159 USD per month, and Advanced costs $279 USD per month. Several meters run at once: the subscription, extra users at $12 USD to $24 USD per month depending on plan, and monthly active contacts, where Growth and Advanced start at 1,000 and an extra block of 100 costs $15 USD on Advanced. AI credits sit under a fair-use ceiling tied to the plan's contact allowance; when they run out, AI features keep running with overage at $15 USD per 1,000 additional credits, with a hard cap at twice the plan's allowance. It bills in dollars and publishes no Mexican entity or CFDI.

  4. 4. Chatbase

Best for: Anyone whose favorite part of Dapta is the builder: train an agent on your site, your files and your own questions, give it actions, and deploy it to a website widget, email, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Slack and your helpdesk, with its own ticket workspace from the Standard plan.

Tradeoff: Hobby costs $40 USD per month with 500 message credits, Standard $150 USD with 4,000 and Pro $500 USD with 15,000; auto-recharge adds 1,000 non-expiring credits for $40 USD. A reply carrying images or PDF pages spends credits on each processed piece, so the meter moves faster than the message count suggests. And one condition matters if you are coming from WhatsApp: a number connected through Chatbase cannot stay active in the WhatsApp Business app at the same time. It bills in dollars, processes data in the United States and documents no Mexican CFDI.

  5. 5. Aurora Inbox

Best for: Anyone leaving Dapta because they need an account in pesos their accountant can budget and a Mexican tax receipt. Aurora publishes a monthly peso price with three users included, an agent with 800 monthly responses from the entry plan, the three Meta channels, and invoicing with Mexican tax identifiers and downloadable CFDI files.

Tradeoff: $1,800 MXN per month plus VAT for Aurora CRM, also published as $99 USD plus VAT, and $240 MXN per month plus VAT for each additional user or channel. It publishes no AI-response overage price and no rule for what happens when the allowance runs out, so that row has to be asked about in writing. And it has nothing equivalent to Dapta's voice agents or flow builder: it is an inbox with a CRM and an agent, not an automation platform.

Eva is our product and comes first, so the criteria are above and dated: published price and billing unit, the same commercial job over messaging, clarity about your WhatsApp number, real channels, and availability to buy from Mexico. Eva is at the top because it combines an agent that executes, an included CRM, every channel, AI inside the price and a public peso rate card. Darwin AI follows for buyers who want prebuilt roles and accept quoting by call. respond.io for the large team that wants the mature inbox and can read several meters at once. Chatbase for buyers who are really purchasing the agent builder and many deployment targets. Aurora Inbox for anyone who needs pesos and Mexican invoices before anything else. Choose Dapta if what you want is a no-code canvas where text, voice and internal automation live in one account under a single credit meter: it does that well, and it publishes how it charges for it.

What switching actually involves

The first step is the number. Dapta documents WhatsApp Business account onboarding through Meta's embedded signup, and the connection details expose a Twilio sender identifier. That means your number already lives inside Meta and changing vendors means migrating the account between platforms, with verification in the middle. Plan for days rather than minutes, and ask for the release procedure in writing before signing with the next vendor.

The second is the balance. Purchased credits stay available while the subscription is active, so spend them before cancelling: self-service cancellation stops the renewal at the end of the paid period and does not refund it. If you activated a WhatsApp line with Dapta as the provider, those 75,000 credits are already spent and do not come back.

The third is the term question, and it is worth asking even if you stay. Ask in an email which condition applies to your account: the monthly one described in the cancellation documentation, or the twelve-month initial term with thirty days' notice published in the terms document. What you did not ask for in writing before signing does not exist afterwards.

The fourth is the configuration. The flows you built in the no-code editor, with their AI nodes and connections, do not copy across to the next vendor: they get rebuilt. With Eva, guided setup is prepared from your website and catalog and you approve it at no cost, while assisted setup costs $579 USD once, delivered within five business days of receiving complete inputs. With Darwin, respond.io, Chatbase and Aurora the configuration is yours to build beyond whatever the plan includes.

The fifth is the overlap. Budget one month paying both vendors, because nobody switches off a sales channel to test another one. Run the replacement on a secondary channel or a bounded time window, compare real resolved conversations rather than demos, and move when the number convinces you.

And on our side, so you know what is left for you: we handle the number's migration inside Meta ourselves, the same way we handle your company's verification. Your contacts come into Eva by CSV or Excel file, with deduplication on import; your catalog comes in by file or by API; and on top of that a contact is created and updated on its own the moment the person writes. Ask your current vendor for the export and we go through it with you during setup, before you cancel anything.

How much does Dapta cost and what does each plan include?

Dapta publishes Pro at $99 USD per month with 100,000 credits, Scale-Up at $499 USD with 500,000 and Prime at USD 1,499 with 1,500,000, plus a quote-only Enterprise tier and a free plan with 2,000 credits. Extra credits cost $1 USD per 1,000.

The table puts the monthly figure next to what actually moves the account: the credit allowance and the number of users. These are the monthly-billing amounts verified on 16 September 2026. The documentation also offers yearly prepayment with an advertised saving, but it publishes no annual total per plan, so that invoice is something to ask for before committing.

The free plan appears on the homepage with 2,000 credits, one agent, two flows, one user and one workspace. Its amount is shown with a currency symbol but no currency code, and the documentation does not establish whether those credits renew monthly, so this page names the tier and its allowance without printing an amount for it.

What happens when the included credits run out?

Each platform answers that moment differently, and the answer decides your busiest month. Dapta stops the service at zero and sells top-up credits; respond.io pauses AI until the next cycle; Chatbase shows the customer an unavailable message; Eva lets you buy a top-up that never expires.

Dapta charges no automatic overage: the balance reaches zero and the service stops until you buy more credits at $1 USD per 1,000, with optional auto-recharge. It is an honest, easy-to-understand rule, with the downside that a busy Tuesday can switch off the channel if nobody is watching the balance.

On respond.io, AI credits sit under a fair-use ceiling tied to the plan's active-contact allowance; when they run out, those features pause until the next cycle and no overage price is published. On Chatbase, an agent without credits shows the customer an unavailable message. Aurora publishes its plan's response allowance but nothing about what happens once it is spent. With Eva a 1,000-credit top-up costs $49 USD and purchased credits never expire, so a heavy month is solved by buying balance rather than changing plan.

Does Eva only serve businesses in Mexico?

No. EvaAI sells to companies anywhere in the world and Eva answers in Spanish or English. What changes by country is the invoice: inside Mexico the price is published in pesos plus VAT with a Mexican tax receipt, and outside Mexico the account bills in dollars.

This page is written from Mexico because that is where the comparison is searched most, which is why the criteria include pesos and a Mexican tax receipt. That does not narrow who we sell to: a distributor in Colombia, a law firm in Spain or a store in the United States buys the same way, and the agent answers in the language the customer writes in. Outside Mexico the useful questions do not change: what the plan meters, what happens when the allowance ends, which channels it serves, and who moves your number inside Meta.

FAQ

What does Dapta cost?

Dapta publishes Pro at $99 USD per month, Scale-Up at $499 USD and Prime at USD 1,499, with 100,000, 500,000 and 1,500,000 monthly credits respectively, plus a quote-only Enterprise tier and a free plan with 2,000 credits. Verified in its documentation on 16 September 2026. Yearly prepayment carries an advertised saving, but the annual total per plan is not published.

What is a Dapta credit and how far does it go?

A thousand credits equal $1 USD. That balance pays for agent replies, at 12 to 40 credits depending on the model, for messages a human sends from the Inbox, at 10 credits, for calls, at 333 credits per started minute when answered, and for activating a WhatsApp line with Dapta as the provider, at 75,000 credits once. Incoming customer messages are not charged.

Can I keep my WhatsApp number and still answer from the app?

With Dapta, the documented route asks for an unregistered number and tells you to deregister existing WhatsApp accounts first, and we verified no coexistence route. Chatbase documents the same thing in different words: a number connected through Chatbase cannot stay active in the WhatsApp Business app. With Eva, coexistence applies to eligible numbers under the feature limits Meta defines; if your case is not eligible, the number migrates and all handling moves into the shared inbox.

Which of these bill in pesos and issue Mexican CFDI invoices?

Aurora Inbox publishes its price in pesos plus VAT and documents Mexican tax identifiers and CFDI downloads. Eva publishes pesos plus VAT inside Mexico and also issues CFDI invoices on your customers' behalf through Facturapi when the tax profile is complete. Dapta, respond.io and Chatbase bill in dollars and publish no Mexican entity or CFDI commitment. Darwin AI publishes neither a current rate nor a currency.

Which ones include the AI agent on the entry plan?

Eva includes it from Essential, with the plan's credits and no separate AI account. Dapta includes it from Pro, and usage comes out of that plan's 100,000 credits. Chatbase includes it from Hobby, with 500 message credits. Aurora includes it on its entry plan with 800 monthly responses. On respond.io, AI agents start on Growth at $159 USD per month, not on Starter.

What happens outside WhatsApp's 24-hour window?

It is Meta's rule and it applies to everyone: more than 24 hours after the customer's last message you can no longer send free-form text and you need an approved template. Dapta documents this explicitly in its Inbox, and Chatbase documents sending utility, authentication and marketing templates from its helpdesk and outbound campaigns. When you compare, ask who writes and submits those templates, because that work usually stays on the customer's side.
