Used cars
How do we answer condition and paperwork questions without over-promising?
Eva answers vehicle by vehicle from the verified record in your inventory, says when a value is missing and escalates document verification to a person.
People buying a used car arrive suspicious, and reasonably so: they do not know how the previous owner treated the vehicle or whether it was really reconditioned before it went on the lot. So the first questions are rarely about price. They are about mileage, condition, which documents come with the car, and whether anything is warranted in writing.
Eva is an AI sales agent with a built-in CRM that takes that first stretch without dressing anything up: it answers unit by unit from the verified record in your inventory, says when a value is not loaded instead of filling the gap, and escalates document verification to a person. This page describes that for a used vehicle operation.

The problem
The daily problem
- Buyers arrive on guard: they ask about reconditioning and paperwork before they care about price, and a vague answer sends them elsewhere.
- Every unit is different. VIN, year, mileage, condition, documents and warranty change car by car, and answering from memory is how promises get made that do not hold up later.
- Buyers end up chasing the salesperson for the status of their paperwork or their delivery, and that silence is what they complain about afterwards.
A day with Eva
A day with Eva
Someone writes at eleven at night about a listed unit. Eva answers in seconds, finds it in your inventory and replies with the verified record and only the fields you marked visible: trim, year, mileage, stated condition, and whatever you loaded about inspection and warranty. What is not loaded does not get invented: Eva says so, asks for a person on your team and hands the thread over with the context already assembled.
If the buyer sends a photo of the vehicle or of a data plate, Eva matches that image against your catalog images and proposes candidates with a confidence level; price, availability and variants are always confirmed against the product record. When the question is about paperwork — what you hand over, how your contract works, what your inspection program covers — Eva answers from what your team loaded and makes clear that checking a specific unit is a person's job.
When the buyer has a car to trade in, Eva collects what is needed to appraise it — model, year, mileage, condition, documents — and leaves it on the opportunity for your appraiser to make the offer. Eva does not appraise and does not float a number: the offer still comes from whoever inspects the car.
After that nobody has to chase anybody. Eva creates or updates the contact and the opportunity in the CRM, schedules follow-up and comes back on its own with sequences of up to five steps and delays of up to 180 days. Each follow-up runs a full agent turn, so it can check inventory, update the CRM, reschedule the visit or decide that writing again is not the right move yet. The moment a person on your team replies, Eva goes quiet.

Typical integration: Inventory arrives as a file or through an API, and API sources sync every 24 hours. The agent's tools can call HTTP endpoints in your management system to check availability or the status of a deal in progress; what gets connected, and under which contract, is decided during implementation. Your marketplace listings keep living where they already are.

FAQ
Does Eva check title registries or vehicle history?
Not on its own. Eva does not connect by itself to public registries or history report services. It can share what your team loaded about a unit and escalate verification to a person. For a live lookup, that data has to be exposed by one of your systems as an endpoint and connected as a tool.
Can it promise a warranty or call a unit certified?
It repeats what you loaded, and nothing more. Inspection and certification programs are not equivalent between sellers: the points checked, the term and the coverage are defined by yours. The written disclosure before the deal closes — including the one saying a unit is sold as is — comes from you, not from a message.
Does it appraise the buyer's trade-in?
No. Eva collects the details of that vehicle and leaves them organized on the CRM opportunity, with any photos the buyer sent as context. The offer comes from whoever inspects the car, weighing condition, mileage and the market; Eva does not float a value or negotiate the down payment.
What if my inventory changes every day?
API sources sync every 24 hours and file sources refresh when you upload them again. If an update fails and a catalog already exists, Eva keeps serving the last good version rather than serving nothing. For minute-by-minute availability, expose a live lookup and connect it as a tool.
Can it tell a buyer where their paperwork stands?
It can, if that status is available to the agent. Eva reads whatever your system exposes through an API and answers from it; with no connected source it does not guess — it says it will confirm and hands the thread to your team. What stops happening is a buyer left without an answer because nobody had time.
